Corbin Fisher now Mac friendly

Mac users hate Digital Rights Management (DRM), the video licensing that restricts the amount of time you can access a membership site's downloaded videos. And for good reason: DRM videos won't play on Mac machines, and even on Windows systems DRM can present technical hassles. For the last couple of years Corbin Fisher has used DRM to combat piracy, but recently the site announced that it was ditching DRM in order to become fully Mac-compatible.

In a letter announcing the changes addressed to site members and visitors, the company stated, "... DRM didn't offer the kind of solution we'd hoped for and while it did counter piracy to a very limited degree, it was apparent it interfered with many users' experiences here at CF to an extent that was entirely unacceptable."

According to Brian Dunlap, Vice President of Operations for the Corbin Fisher, DRM proved to be a disappointment for them and their members.

"It was hoped, and even promised, that DRM would be this incredible solution and would have negative impact upon content pirates and content pirates alone," said Dunlap, "but it became apparent its impact upon piracy was minimal and its interference with the experience of our legitimate, paying members was extensive."

Mac users rejoice: all the gorgeous college studs of Corbin Fisher are now just a mouse click away!
