How did Ramzi get started?

"Well, I was in a program at Antioch University, working on my masters in LGBT psychology and while that was happening I was approached by Chris Ward, the head of Raging Stallion, because he saw pictures of me somewhere," the porn star told The Sword. "[Ward] said, 'You’re exactly what we want for our brand. Would you be interested in something like this?'

"At first I scoffed at it and was thinking that’s not really something I’d be willing to do. It’s too risky. It’s too weird. But then the more I thought about it, it seemed to make a lot of sense, and I tried to think of a way to tie it into my studies. Because a lot of what I was looking into in my program was about the shame around gay sex, bottom shame, guilt, just a lot of feelings around gay sex and how the word’s been stigmatized, and also people’s reactions to sex work in general, even my own reactions, thoughts and judgments on what it really meant to be in porn."

And before psychology and porn, he found some success as a musician.

“I played bass in a rock band that actually did really well and toured with a lot of really big names," he shared with AVN. "But then once I realized that it was limiting because I wasn’t involved with the songwriting part of things, I decided to kind of go back to the drawing board and see what I wanted to do next.”

One thing he doesn't label is his preferred sex role.

He explained to The Sword: "I’m an adaptable lover, and I prefer to use the words 'top' and 'bottom' as verbs instead of nouns."

Of course, Ramzi has worked with lots of different studs in gay porn. What are his most memorable experiences?

"My favorite stories to tell are usually the ones in which I connect very deeply with my scene partner," he said while being interviewed by Fleshbot. "My first time with Tommy Defendi, which was a real turning point for me; the time I worked with Seven Dixon and we realized just before filming that we were born on the exact same day; meeting Jason Vario and essentially having an on-location romance for a few days; the time Dirk Caber rescued me from a scene with a performer who bailed mid-scene, and Dirk came in and banged it out."

The biggest advantage of doing porn?

He told Kito Diaries: "The thing that I’ve gotten mostly out of becoming a part of the adult film industry is just a better sense of self awareness. I think that before, I was maybe not as in tune with certain things about myself that I might think about in terms of sexual situations. Maybe I had some reservations or maybe even judgments of people who put themselves out there sexually. And now that I’ve actually done that, I’m starting to be a little bit more aware of my own things that might come up, my own worries that I might be judged by people."

He even has a podcast with fellow porn star Cole Connor, called Sorry For Asking.

As he explained to Fleshbot: "I would say the target audience is anyone who likes gay porn, but honestly, the subject matter is entertaining and informative enough that it can land with anyone! But mostly, it’s for lovers of gay porn."

He went on toe describe his co-host as "charming, funny, knows how to get his way, is adorably kooky, and always has his heart in the right place."
