Max Konnor named CAM4's first male brand ambassador

CAM4 has announced that its first ever male ambassador will be sexy porn star Max Konnor. Konnor, a fan-favorite, actually got his start on the amateur cam site.

“We’ve watched Max build his empire and really thrive in the industry,” Program Manager Gwen Coleman explained. “When we were looking for our first male ambassador, he was at the top of our list."

“Our site is for everyone,” Coleman added. “We hope to continue expanding our ambassador program to reach a variety of markets. Choosing an ambassador such as Max, who is consistently creating incredible male content, was the best option for us to reach the gay market. The fact that he started his career on our platform made this decision seem meant to be.”

Until now, CAM4 has only had female ambassadors.

“With camming, it is such an individual experience,” said Communications Manager Shannon McD. “Gay men and bisexual and bi-curious men really develop their own unique way of creating shows and both have a vast array of fans and viewers. In a world that is digital, many viewers are able to explore their preferences and experiment in ways they wouldn’t necessarily do with face-to-face interaction. We are an open community that supports all types.”

In his new role, Konnor will headline monthly live shows, attend industry events, and appear in promotions.

“I started camming in 2017," Konnor told XBiz. "I was between acting gigs and I stumbled across it and thought it would be a good idea to do it anonymously. A few things have changed since then! I’m much better at it now than I was then."

Getting into porn was the obvious next step.

“Shortly after [debuting on cam], I was receiving so much great feedback from CAM4 fans, so I decided that maybe I would be decent at porn,” he said. “... The biggest thing is now it’s not anonymous. People know who I am. More importantly, they’ve come to expect a certain caliber performance from me in cam shows and I have to do my best to deliver that every time.”

He also explained that the Max you see on screen is pretty much the Max in real life.

He stated: “I may show more of my dominant side through him, but it’s still all me. Although, it’s funny; a lot of people think I’m more aggressive and mean than I am! I’m a big dork who loves to love and loves to be loved. And I’m extremely excited and honored to be the first male Ambassador for CAM4. I’ve come full circle and it’s just the beginning.”
