Billy Santoro and Ben Masters dropped by porn sites

The past few months have been difficult, with the world effectively coming to a stop as COVID-19 spread. But just when you thought things couldn't get worse, a series of police-on-black attacks led to massive protests and rioting throughout the United States (and around the world).

Gay porn stars Dante Colle (pictured, right) and Michael DelRay (pictured, left) joined in on the peaceful protesting, and both men were subsequently arrested.

"Getting arrested with [DelRay] for peaceful protesting," Colle tweeted. "Slipping handcuffs is my specialty though."

Colle later took to Instagram to further explain that he was with a large group of protestors at the time, and though none of them were involved in looting or vandalism, they were still taken into custody.

Two other models had a different take on the current upheaval in the States.

Billy Santoro

Billy Santoro took to Facebook to write: "Lol. America! Lol you let your blacks loot as a way of protest. Wake the fuck up. Shoot first."

JustFor.Fans, where Santoro has an account, did not take the post lightly. The company removed Santoro from its site.

"His account is gone," the company posted on Twitter. "Policing is a slippery slope and we won’t be puppets to cancel culture. This was not debatable though. It was vile. BLM."

Santoro was slammed on social media, forcing him to apologize. " I sincerely apologize for hurting the POC with my statement," he posted. "I have fallen in love with many [people of color] and understand the frustration."

He then claimed: "A friend of mine was killed during the looting in Philly and I lashed out full of emotional stress. Those who know me know I am not racist. I am hurt by the loss of my friend." Several called him out for lying about this last claim.

His husband, Gage Santoro, initially claimed to be leaving Billy over his racist views. Later, though, he posted news that Santoro was in hospital following an attempted suicide. (This has not been confirmed, and several fellow pornstars and fans are calling this out as a lie.) Gage has since deactivated his account.

Ben Masters

Ben Masters also found himself on the losing end of an online rant. The (now former) CockyBoys exclusive posted to Instagram complaining that he isn't getting similar support for being gay that protesters are expressing for people of color. Fellow porn star Brock Banks captured the video and shared it on Twitter.

"Today I posted something that was selfish, unproductive, and stupid,"  Master's wrote. "While I immediately deleted once I posted, it does not change the fact that I did, and I am very sorry for my insensitivity and the pain and upset it caused. Today, I fully understand what white privilege means. Today I understand that my thinking is part of the problem, and today I accept that my thinking needs to and will change."

It is probably a little too little too late.

CockyBoys' Jake Jaxson revealed that Master's has been let go as a model for the site.

"Ben’s video, posted earlier today, is uneducated and unacceptable on every level," Jaxson shared. "It goes against everything both RJ and I believe in and stand for, and we will not tolerate this sentiment from any of our performers."

These are hard times, and there's a lot of anger out there; hopefully we can find a way to truly heal from all this.
