Taron Egerton (above, left) or Rami Malek are both talented young actors who are about to take on two larger than life roles as two of the biggest names in the music world.
Egerton, who is probably best known for his role in the over the top spy movie Kingsman: The Secret Service, will be donning the spectacles of Sir Elton John in a 2019 release called Rocketman. The biopic follows Elton as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through to his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin.
Malek has done a lot of work in both TV and movies, and most recently starred in the series Mr. Robot. Like Egerton, Malek was asked to channel another openly queer powerhouse in music. In Bohemian Rhapsody he plays none other than Freddie Mercury. The film focuses on Mercury's life, leading up to Queen's Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in 1985. It is due out later this month.
