Gay dating app doubles down on anti-HIV stand

DaddyBearDaddyBear is a new app that promises to connect rich daddies with "healthy" bears (emphasis on healthy). It explicitly bans men who are HIV-positive.

In fact, the app suggests that “daddies” are a catch for being more than just rich men; it said that “most mature gay daddies grew up under the macro environment of AIDS epidemic and scare, so they know how to protect themselves and you, and enjoy safe sex with you.”

The proud CEO of Daddybear -- so proud he would only give his first name of Justin -- doesn't see anything wrong with expecting HIV-positive men to stay away.

"No one would like to date people living with HIV unless he is living with it," he argued. "Most gay sugar daddies are not living with HIV, so they don’t want to bring home any unwanted souvenirs. However, we support that gay men living with HIV have the right to date with other gays with HIV. But many rich and successful gay sugar daddies do not want to date [...] gay men living with HIV, which is the reason why we launched this app to meet their needs."

Here's an idea: create an app that bans people for being pompous assholes. More people would benefit from it and there'd be no risk of running into CEO Justin.
