AVN Media Network has announced the resurrection of the GayVN Awards.
Initially part of the AVN Awards since 1986, the specific gay-focused event was established in 1998. It ran for 12 years, but the last awards were given out in 2010.
Tony Rios, CEO of AVN Media Network, thinks it's finally time to bring the event back.
“We want to make sure the GayVN Awards come back in a big way, so we have more than 25 categories honoring performers, movies, scenes and more,” Rios explained.
To be eligible, content will have to have been released between Oct. 1, 2016, and Sept. 30, 2017. The actual awards will be given out in January 2018.
Of course, it is far too early to list any nominees, but a list of categories has been released. We've also listed a few past winners for fun.

In 1998, this went to Vince Rockland. Part of Rockland's success was due to the fact that he appeared in scenes with his two "brothers."
