Sam Smith might be dropping a new album sooner than people expected. Well, it's more of a new old album; before his hit LP In the Lonely Hour was released, the British singer created Diva Boy.
Diva Boy was released by London indie label Flipbook Music, though it did not catch on like Smith's major label "debut." Now that Smith has found international success, Flipbook Music is hoping a re-release will prove popular.
"Yes, Sam was in development and trained for success over three years with Flipbook Music, a London based Indie Label," the company revealed in a statement. "It was at Flipbook Music that Sam's dreams were nurtured, his, then undiscovered, talents uncovered and developed and it was there he learned his art. It's also where he experienced all his 'firsts', including recording his first album, his first live and video performances and first interviews and, later on, his interviews as an informed person when he shares his views on life, love, sexuality and more."
So far Smith has not publicly commented on his old music resurfacing.
