Polish TV presenter Jacob Kwiecinski and his boyfriend David decided to come out with a little help from 80s duo Roxette.
Jacob and David, who have been together for seven years, were at the Baltic Sea in Poland. The beach was empty, so they pulled out their camera and shot a lip synch video. They then agreed to release it to the world, outing Jacob to his fans.
"Poland is very Catholic country and religion has big impact for the way of people thinking," Jacob explained. "We had our doubts before we posted on YouTube. But we wanted to show that we -- gay people -- are absolutely normal and our love has no difference to their love."
The video post even caught the attention of Roxette's singer Per Gessle, who gave the men the thumbs up. "Nice one!" he posted. (Roxette's management also sent the couple a signed book from Gessle.)
Jacob added that he was surprised by the positive feedback he received from others.
"I don’t regret it," he said. "When we noticed the reaction was positive it made us both braver and wanted it share it with people.
"We want to show there’s no difference between gay love and heterosexual love."
