Glenn Marsh, better known to gay porn fans as Blue Blake, was found dead in his London apartment. He was 52 years old. 

 

Friends had become concerned about him after they had not heard from over the weekend. On Monday night, a couple let themselves into his apartment to check on him, and found Blake dead in a chair. They called 999 for help.

 

Police have confirmed there will be an inquest into the death, but they do not suspect foul play. 

 

"Blue was one of the first gay porn stars (and later porn directors) that I became a fan of back when I started exploring my sexuality," wrote one person in a Facebook tribute. "He was one sexy bloke, beefy and boisterous, and I was pleased to find that in real life, he was just as full of life and pleasure. He was a generous, passionate man and the world is a less exuberant place without him."

 

Blake worked as a Royal Marine (the U.K.'s amphibious light infantry force) and studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Who knew he'd end up doing porn?

 

"I went to drama school here in London so porn for me was just like playing a role. Except I was naked and I had my dick buried up some guy's arse!"

 

After many years in front of the camera, Blake turned his attention behind the scenes as a producer. He started Big Blue Productions, which focused on muscle men.
