Gay porn production company Flava Works is accusing popular hook-up site Adam4Adam.com of using copyrighted and trademarked images to promote third-party products.
“Flava Works did not license Adam4Adam to use its copyrighted works to promote these products and services that have no affiliation with our company," Flava Works CEO and founder Phillip Bleicher
told XBIZ.
Bleicher claimed that his company had tried to get Adam4Adam and its owner, Marc Parent, to stop using the images, but said Adam4Adam "continued to infringe on our works” and is misleading customers into purchasing unrelated products and services.
He alleged that Adam4Adam pilfered images from its various sites, including FlavaMen, MixItUpBoy, ThugBoy, and CocoDorm. Flava Works is now seeking payment for damages, a restraining order and a disgorgement of profits. It is also demanding that the Adam4Adam.com domain be tansferred to Flava Works.
Flava Works first filed the lawsuit in Florida back in August. Last week, Parent, whose company is located in Montreal, asked the court to dismiss the charges.
