Popular cereal spokes-tiger, Tony, wants people to know that Kellogg is down with the LGBT community.
Kellogg recently sponsored the Atlanta Pride march. The company also took out an ad in the city's Pride Guide, which included the image (above) of Tony the Tiger and the company's pro-gay position.
It read: “At Kellogg, we’re an evolving culture that respects and accepts employees’ sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression so that all employees can be authentic and fully engaged.”
Even better, the Christian right is ever so pissed. The American Family Association (AFA) is even calling for a boycott, with one of its supporters asking if "Tony [is] now marketing a sexual lifestyle to children?"
AFA's recent attempt to bring down Starbucks with a similar boycott was a smashing success ... not!
