Gay porn model Mike Dozer charged with statutory rape

In December, Delaware police arrested Newark resident Christopher Steele after he allegedly had sexual relations with a 14-year-old boy. He is now facing charges of statutory rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and reckless endangerment of a 14-year-old boy. 

Steele is better known in porn circles as Mike Dozer, and has appeared in several bareback videos. He is also HIV+ (hence the reckless endangerment charges).

Kevin Mark Wray, Steele’s attorney, said Dozer met the boy through the hook-up app Jack'd. Wray argued that Dozer tried to end the relationship with the younger man after finding out his age, but that the boy insisted on being intimate.

“At some point, he came to the realization that this person wasn’t 18 and took off,” Wray said. “This kid kept pursuing him and apparently had done so with others.” (So ...Dozer was then overpowered and forced to have unprotected sex with a minor? Or he was hypnotized by the boy Lolita? Please!)

Wray took issue with the reckless endangerment charge. "It bothered me a great deal and seemed to be offensive," he said. "He takes medication and is constantly moderating it. Charging someone with [reckless endangerment] because they are HIV-positive is homophobic and ignorant. We don’t go to people who have herpes, colds, Strep throat and charge them. If that is the standard, they need to be indicting everybody. It’s amazing that, 35 years later, the public is still oblivious to the simple fact that HIV does not equal AIDS."

Steele is being held in a Montgomery County prison on $1-million bail, and is scheduled to return to court at the end of February.
