Manwin is dead, long live MindGeek

Manwin is one of the biggest names in online porn, but it seems the company wants to be seen as something more. So it announced this week it was changing its name to MindGeek, and now refers to itself as an international information technology firm, which focusses on highly trafficked websites.

"The company creates, develops and manages some of the most recognized mainstream and adult entertainment brands in the world," the new site says. "As an uncontested market leader, MindGeek has developed various in-house technologies with respect to HD video streaming and website optimization, which enables it to compete on a matchless playing field."

The change follows CEO Fabian Thylmann's departure from the company. He sold his stake in Manwin to the company's "top management team."

MindGeek will still be handling its popular XXX tube sites, as well as properties like men.com.
