Stephan Sirard explains Next Door's switch to bareback vids

Many people were surprised that Next Door Studios was the most recent company to start shooting bareback videos. The Sword asked Next Door’s CEO Stephan Sirard about the decision, considering that he had until recently opposed condomless porn.

In fact, in 2009 Sirard said: “Studios that don’t use condoms and don’t test should be in court for murder.”

However, Sirard how says that hat times have changed, bringing about better testing methods to help keep performers safe.

"We have been one of the most aggressive studios on model STD testing," he added. "Our panel testing is more elaborate than any other studio out there; we test for every sexually transmitted disease. The primary laboratory that conducts our test is not affiliated with the adult industry and is an independently accredited laboratory that conducts every medical test for every doctor’s office and hospital in the nation.

"It is costing us more money to do bareback scenes. We are not interested in increasing our profit margin at the expense of our models' health, which is why we increased our testing budget to allow for the use of the most advanced testing techniques which includes three phases of testing."
