But where's Anthony Romero?

Back in 2012, real life porn couple Anthony Romero and Austin Wilde announced they were leaving Next Door Studios. They shot a few scenes with Cockyboys.com, and said they were working on their own website.

Then this past February they finally launched GuysInSweatPants.com.

“We are filming real gay sex – something gay porn should be," Wilde said at the time. "We want to make something we would be proud to put our names on, and we’ve definitely done that.”

Romero added, "We’ve put a lot of work into GuysInSweatpants; our site offers and will offer many features never seen on a porn site – only because we want to be one of the best.”

Now, only four months later, the site is being re-imagined.  And guess what? There's not a single mention of  Anthony Romero in the new promotional material.

The latest press release states that "earlier this year, Wilde and his small team launched GuysInSweatpants.com as a [fully-realized] gay porn site focusing on sporty guys and stripped-down sex."  

"Basically, I built a site where I'd want to be a member," Wilde says. "A lot of the sex scenes I was shooting for other companies just felt so stale and repetitive. ... I'd shoot these assembly line things for studios during the day and then go out and pick up these hot guys at night and have mind-blowing sex. I thought, there has to be a way to make this type of sex work on a site."

It's as if Romero never existed. Hmmmm ...

We do know that Romero has closed his Twitter account @AnthyBottoms. As well, TheSword mentioned in May that Romero may have retired from porn, though there's been nothing official on that. 

It's very curious that the new press release doesn't say anything about Anthony Romero's departure from the company. Was he bought out? Has he left the porn biz? Are he and Wilde still a couple? Was he abducted by aliens, or worse, evangelicals? It just seems very strange that Austin Wilde would not have straightforwardly informed his fans and business affiliates that he and Romero have parted ways, rather than pretending the partnership never existed.
