Princess Diana wore drag?

According to comedian Cleo Rocos' new memoir, The Power of Positive Drinking, the lovely Princess Diana once dressed as a drag queen in order to have a night out on the town.

Rocos, with buddies Freddie Mercury and Kenny Everett persuaded the Princess of Wales to dress up in order to visit a London gay bar, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.

"When we walked in... we felt she was obviously Princess Diana and would be discovered at any minute. But people just seemed to blank her. She sort of disappeared. But she loved it," Rocos said.

"She was always a very fit girl, so [bar patrons] might have thought, 'There's a nice young man with pert buttocks.'"

The group left after only 20 minutes in the pub. Still, those 20 minutes as a queen were probably a lot more fun than years as the Princess.
