Porn Wikileaks swallows a bitter pill

The people behind a website specifically designed to destroy the lives of adult film stars may have gotten a taste of their own medicine, and they didn't like it one bit.

Porn Wikileaks was a database that included the stage names and real names of porn actors, and included their STD status. The information was collected from 12,000 stolen medical records. Worse, when actors would challenge the site's details, or complain about errors, they were allegedly harassed by Porn Wikileaks' members. This harassment sometimes extended to family members.

A group of porn industry insiders, including blogger Mike South, decided to fight back.

"I got tired of watching them bully people," South said. He aligned with some talented hackers to take on Porn Wikileaks. "They helped us by providing us with technical expertise that we couldn't have gotten anywhere else."

Donny Long (pictured) - aka Donald Carlos Seaone - is accused of being the man behind the site. Apparently he once worked in porn, before becoming disgruntled with the industry and moving to Thailand. His own HIV+ status was released on the Internet, although he says the records were doctored in photoshop.

As well, a list of all Porn Wikileaks users was released, scaring several members and one moderator away. The site, as of Monday, was no longer online.

Long claimed he is not the site's creator, but does support its tactics. However, he is now hoping for a truce. He pleaded: "If you want to all live in peace and see [Porn Wikileaks] stay down then I ask you to leave me alone. I have been forced to skip countries and watch my back everywhere because of the gay mob that started all of this and don't want the hassle anymore."

He has threatened to put the site back up if some agreement between both sides cannot be reached.
