Is he or isn't he?
'The Daily Mail' last week published an interview with 'Inception' star Tom Hardy in which he talked about 'sexual relations' with men he has had in the past.
The actor's camp is now saying that the quote was taken out of context, and was actually made two years ago during an interview with 'Attitude,' a gay magazine.
"He was discussing a gay role and quotes coming from the character," said a source close to the actor.
However, during the original interview Hardy was specifically asked about his previous experience with men (not his character's). His reply: "As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for fuck's sake. I'm an artist. I've played with everything and everyone. But I'm not into men sexually. I love the form and the physicality but the gay sex bit does nothing for me. In the same way as a wet vagina would turn someone else into a lemon-sucking freak. To me it just doesn't compute now I'm into my 30s and it doesn't do it for me and I'm done experimenting."
So basically Hardy went through a curious phase and discovered his fully heterosexual self. So what's the big deal?
