UK reality star comes out

Last year Joe McElderry won The X Factor, a reality singing contest in the UK. People thought he might be gay, especially after he tweeted, "It's been difficult living a lie for so many years."

However, he denied the tweet was his. Someone, he said, hacked into his account.

Well, the 19-year-old still insists the tweet was not his, but he is in fact gay.

He explained: “I’ve had time to think about things. I wasn’t attracted to anyone anyway, male or female. It never really entered my head I was gay. But I just know. It’s how I feel. ... I’m happy. I now know who I am.”
