Eurocreme CEO explains bareback decision

EurocremeMax Lincoln, CEO of one of Europe's largest gay porn producers, Eurocreme, says the company decided last year to cease production of bareback porn. Since 2002, Eurocreme has released dozens of high-quality titles in a range of lines, some of  the most popular of which were its condomless "Raw" and "Bare" series.

Lincoln cited model safety as the reason:

"There is a window period between an individual becoming infected with the HIV virus, and that individual showing up positive in an HIV test. During the window period, the infected individual can transmit the virus to others during unprotected sexual intercourse. For that reason it is not possible for a production company to guarantee the safety of an actor in a bareback film."

That about sums up the dilemma for those bareback studios that want to screen out HIV-positive perfomers.

Lincoln made his decision knowing that profits would suffer. Since bareback porn is so popular, "this moral stance places us at a serious disadvantage in the marketplace."

Hey, nobody ever said doing the right thing would make you the most money. And Eurocreme's  videos are so damn hot, we're sure that Max will be just fine.
