British boybander from Blue comes out as bi

Duncan James is bi.

One of the singers from the boy band Blue, James shared his sexuality as the band prepared for its comeback tour. 

"I'm bisexual," he told British tabloid News of the World. "I've been in loving relationships with men as well as women - and I'm not ashamed. Even though I fancy men, I still fancy women too."

In the past, he's been linked with female celebs like Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and ex-EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon. However, he's been mum on any famous dudes in his life.

His bandmates have been totally supportive. "All of the boys accepted it. We were perceived as lads who went around and slept with women but on the inside we had a lot of love for each other. We always hugged and kissed each other."

Maybe a little mutual masturbation? Sadly, he didn't say.

James had hoped to come out sooner, but put his plans on hold when in 2004 an ex-girlfriend  revealed she was pregnant with his child. Concerned his daughter would eventually wear the brunt of his decision to come out when she was in school, he kept his true self bottled up. But with the tour he felt it best (and easiest) to just be himself.

As for the obvious question about whether he is really just gay and not ready to admit it, he said: "I know most gay guys think, 'Bi Now, Gay Later' and maybe one day the thought of being with a woman won't work for me."

That time just isn't now.
