The Bjorn files

Kristen Bjorn is one of the big names in the biz. A director, producer and a former actor, he has a unique perspective on what makes good gay porn, well, better. He's even known as the master of the hands-free cum shot, a recurring element in many of his videos (and a hot one at that!).

Bjorn started as an porn actor in the late 70s after moving to San Francisco, initially appearing in photo spreads for magazines like 'Mandate,' and later appearing in a series of videos for Falcon in 1982 and 1983.

A move to Brazil, mixed with a passion for photography, helped Bjorn switch from in front of the camera to behind it. He took pictures of hot Brazilian men and started to sell the images to magazines like Advocate Men. He then develpped an appreciation for film, and would supply content for the Advocate Men Live series.

His first full-length video was "Tropical Heatwave" in 1988. The men were built and muscular. The cast was multi-racial. And the scenes included those soon to be famous hands-free money shots.

"Carnival in Rio," his second video, helped Bjorn transition into hardcore material, where guys touch more than themselves. A directing star was born. He has since created videos of men from Canada, Australia, Panama and even Italy.
