Rear Deployment in Desperate Housewive

We admit it: we're loyal fans of  "Desperate Housewives". And it has been heart warming to see former bad boy Andrew reconciled with his brittle, once homophobic mom Bree.

In this week's episode, Andrew has moved in with another man and Bree, rising to the occassion, welcomes Dr. Alex to her home to dine. Of course she invites gaybours Bob and Lee over as well. 

The queers next door recognize Dr. Alex -- from a porno called "Rear Deployment." Bob wastes no time in informing Bree of Dr. Alex's porn past and Bree in turn breaks the news to Andrew. But it turns out Andrew knows all about it -- and he doesn't care. Bree, bless her little whitebread heart, doesn't freak. She asks Andrew if this is "the one" and when he says yes, she accepts the relationship.

You know that porn is officially mainstream (bordering on boring) when a character like Bree Van De Kamp can accept a pornstar son-in-law. Too bad it's all fiction.
