New website for men coming to terms with HIV

New UK site helps men dealing with HIVWhat next?’ is a new, UK-based website designed to address the sense of isolation and confusion many gay men feel after being diagnosed as HIV+.

The site is funded by UK's Department of Health and administered by the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), the largest HIV and sexual health charity in Britain. It uses video clips and personal journal entries by men with HIV, and offers advice on disclosure, health, sex and love, and dealing with medical staff.

“Being diagnosed with HIV can make people feel like they’re on an emotional roller coaster," Marc Thompson from THT said. "Many people are left feeling quite alone or feel like they have hundreds of questions to ask.

"This site aims to give all the practical information gay men might want after they’ve been diagnosed, but also gives personal accounts of what it’s actually like living with HIV day to day.

Although some of the site is certainly UK-centric, any gay man who has been recently  diagnosed should find something helpful here. [What Next?]
