Falcon to Maleflixxx: Time to say goodbye!

Maleflixxx and Naked Sword, the two big gay VOD companies, have been sparring over who gets to stream Falcon Studios' video for years. Now, after dalliances with both companies, Falcon has announced that it's ending its current arrangement with Maleflixxx and committing to a monogamous relationship with Naked Sword (now a part of straight-owned AEBN).

Consequently, by March 2008 you will no longer be able to find your beloved Falcon videos on demand at Maleflixxx; instead they'll all be over at AEBN/Naked Sword. But Maleflixxx didn't go down without a fight.

In November, 2006 Naked Sword announced a three year deal to be the exclusive online VOD provider for Falcon. At that time Falcon said it intended to pull its content from competing VOD sites (that would be Maleflixxx) as its contracts expired over the next three months.

There was obviously some disagreement as to the cancellation clauses of the Maleflixxx / Falcon deal, because Maleflixxx did not agree to the timing of the break-up. The two companies had to go to arbitration over the matter and this week announced that Falcon titles would be removed from Maleflixxx by next March.

"Falcon and NakedSword have been partners for several years, and throughout this partnership, NakedSword has proven that they understand our brand and can increase online visibility over a wide variety of online properties,"  Todd Montgomery, CEO of Falcon Entertainment, told Adult Video News.

Eric Johnson, president of Maleflixxx's parent company, Sureflix, declared his satisfaction with the decision. "We are also pleased with the outcome of the arbitration and look forward to doing business with Falcon until the end of their contract in March 2008."

Somehow we doubt that's how he really feels. Call it a hunch.
