3rd porn soldier sentenced

Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten, 21, has plead guilty to sodomy, conduct detrimental to the Army and cocaine use in the Active Duty porn scandal. He was sentenced to three months in prison and will be discharged from the service.

Mitten is one of seven soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division accused of appearing on Dink Flamingo's ActiveDuty.com, a Fayetteville, N.C. - based website. Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen and Pfc. Richard Ashley also plead guilty in past weeks and been sentenced to prison.

Mitten said he earned $6,000 in 3 months by appearing in online videos and live webcasts. He also received bonuses for recruiting other soldiers for the site. We believe he appeared in an Active Duty video entitled "Hot Zone" under the name "Donnie."

Four other soldiers have previously received lesser punishments and been discharged or recommended for discharge. No doubt this turn of events has had a chilling effect on Active Duty's recruitment efforts.
