China tightens its grip

China is imposing new restrictions on Web content in a bid to further stifle the little freedom of speech its citizens possess.

Independent news organizations, bloggers and online forums are required to register with the government and "are prohibited from spreading news and information that goes against state security and public interest," according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
