And here are the European Grabby winners

Yesterday, we posted the list of the 2021 Grabby Award winners. Believe it or not, we only told you half of the story as another set of awards were handed out recognizing European gay porn.

But before we get to the winners, we also posted about the controversy at this year's event. One of the winners of Performer of the Year, Troye Jacobs, had not been on the list of nominees. So how did he tie for first?

According to Stacy Bridges, Show Director of the Grabby Awards America, it was all a simple mix-up:

The first thing I wish to make clear is that Troye Jacobs was absolutely the rightful winner. The mistake was not in who won, Troye was nominated, his name did appear on the voting platform, the public could vote for him, and he did receive the highest number of votes. 

The mistake was an administration error. When I sent the list of nominees to our website manager with the request to publish the list, Troye’s name had been left off by mistake. I am sincerely sorry for this mistake and apologize unreservedly for any distress this may have caused, particularly to Troye.
