Where did twenty years go?

BananaGuide is twenty years old today.

BG came online on December 1, 2000 -- just two years after Google. 

The brainchild of two Canadians, the idea for BananaGuide was to create a resource for gay men looking for quality porn. BananaGuide was the first website to offer detailed and honest reviews of gay pay sites along with lots of links to free porn and a consumers' guide to avoiding online rip-offs. 

A lot has changed in twenty years. The online adult industry had a golden age of a decade or so, but for many years now we've seen smaller, independent companies go under or forced to merge with a handful of multinationals. The reasons are many, from rampant piracy, to race-to-the-bottom pricing, to more options for  porn stars to bypass porn companies and go direct to their fans.  

BananaGuide remains true to our original intent and we look forward to serving you for years to come.
