Falcon Studios Group issued a warning to aspiring porn models that an individual posing as a gay porn performer and recruiter for the company may be trying to scam them.
“Our top priority is always the well-being of everyone we work with, including potential models,” said Vice President of Production Adam Q. Robinson. “We encourage prospective performers to submit their application, and if they’re a fit for an upcoming production, they will be contacted by either myself or one of our directors, but they will never be asked to pay any money to us under any circumstances.”
The scammer has been posing as a veteran gay performer and reaching out to men through Grindr and Instagram. He promises they can make between $2,500 to $3,500 compensation to appear in a shoot. However, he then asks for a deposit of $1,000 or more to cover contract costs; medical coverage fees and more.
“We feel for anyone who has been scammed out of money to appear in our movies and hope we can raise awareness about this so nobody else is deceived or exploited,” said Falcon Studios Group and NakedSword Network President Tim Valenti. “We’re committed to do anything we can to ensure that nobody else falls victim to this blatant misrepresentation and fraud.”
Falcon and NakedSword Network explained that they never charge men to appear in their movies, and will help cover travel and lodging expenses. Potential models can find an online Model Application at
Model4Falcon.com.
Anyone who has fallen victim to the scam is encouraged to email report@falconstudios.com with screen shots of messages and any supporting communication, and Falcon Studios will verify the validity of the messages.
Rule of thumb: NEVER give strangers money. It's 2019, guys; you should know this by now!
