It's safe to say that porn star
Beaux Banks won't be jacking off to the upcoming horror parody
Scared Stiff 2: The Amityville Whore, the latest offering from Naked Sword and Chi Chi LaRue.
His issue with the film is that, as with much of gay porn, the cast consists of mostly white men. The only exceptions are Brock Banks (Puerto Rican) and Adam Ramzi (Middle Eastern).
"I’m sorry but I still don’t get how a major production company can get away with casting a major project, casting 10 models, and not one of them being African American, and y’all be silent," he tweeted. "If only it were awards season, and then everyone would be speaking up.
"In a world where DeAngelo Jacksos and Max Connors among other amazing African American adult entertainers exist, there’s no excuse. Cite the 10 person ensemble cast filled [with] Caucasian actors but one. Love you all, but it’s time to be accountable."
His parting shot: "We’re good enough for your [LaRue's] NOIR site, but not good enough for your feature film…"
Neither NakedSword nor LaRue have responded publicly to the controversy.
However, porn star Diesel Washington did call Banks out for taking his time in challenging the status quo.
"The same Beau [sic] that worked [with] a Trump supporter, a dude with confederate flag tatt, and a few racially charged scenes with questionable titles," Washington tweeted. "Besides his stance on racism in the industry was lukewarm at best. ... I'm on your side Indeed, but don't sit here and even try to say that I haven't busted my ass for years calling out the racist pigs here... We are on the same side, just saying what took you so long."
Sadly, this is one issue that does not seem to be going away any time soon.
