The Phoenix Forum is no more

Phoenix ForumIt had a good run, but the popular porn biz-focused Phoenix Forum is coming to an end.

The forum, established by online payment provider CCBill in 2001, will not be coming back for 2020. The event was very gay-friendly, even offering The Gay Forum specifically created for the sizable contingent of gay attendees.

According to the company's vice president of sales and marketing, Gary Jackson, "the industry needs have evolved, and so must the trade events which support so many parts of our diverse community.”

“We designed and evolved The Phoenix Forum over the years, as a way to connect with those people that we love and care about in this crazy business we all support -- those people that we call our ‘family,’” Jackson explained.

With so many changes in the porn industry, the forum was a great place to share ideas, find support and create important partnerships. Its demise is largely a result of a rapidly consolidating industry with increasing narrow profit margins. It will be missed.
