Sam Smith is giving acting a try. He will be playing an admittedly small role in a special LGBT version of the 90s hit movie,
Four Weddings and A Funeral.
The special production is part of Red Nose Day, where the showbiz types in Britain come together to help raise money for charity.
"[Smith's] cameo won’t be massive, but viewers won’t miss him," a Red Nose spokesman said. "He’s always more than happy to do his bit for charity and this is an iconic remake for a good cause."
The special will be called One Red Nose Day And A Wedding and will feature Alicia Vikander and Lily James as two women getting married.
Sam will play a wedding singer, pulling off his version of Elton John doing "Chapel Of Love."
"The team have kept his involvement under wraps," the spokesman added. "As although they’re keen to build some hype around the release, they want a few surprises too."
Red Nose Day takes place on 15 March 2019. so you'll have to wait to see if Smith can really add actor to his resume.
