Former porn star now a "men's rights" activist

Logan McCree

Philipp Tanzer -- perhaps better known as heavily inked gay porn star Logan McCree -- was recently profiled by Vice UK. No, he's not making some big gay porn comeback. And no, he didn't cure cancer or save a kitten from a tree.

Instead, he's now an activist fighting for the rights of men (easily the most oppressed members of society).

The former Mr. Leather Germany was spotted at last month's International Conference on Men's Issues. When approached by Vice, he said he was supportive of gender equality, but he felt modern-day feminists were seeking special privileges for women, and at the same time claiming victimhood.

But the biggest issue for him was about child custody. He felt that men were often given the short end of the straw in custody battles and he didn't think that was fair. He admitted that he was concerned that were he ever to have to fight for his kids, he could lose them.

Of course, he doesn't have anything to worry about right now; he doesn't even have children.

"I had always wanted a family, and it was important for me that it would be with a female partner, so that my children would be a product of a loving relationship," he said. "When I got into my 30s I started dating women again and looking to start a family."

He said that losing the kids he might one day have was his "greatest fear."

In the profile, Tanzer also admits that he doesn't consider himself gay (though he also doesn't use the word straight). " ...I didn't really fit in with the gay culture. For a while, I even called myself asexual but with a preference for men."

It doesn't seem that feminism is the real issue here; from which couples can form loving environments, to his obvious discomfort over his sexuality, he has a few things he should seriously work on.
