Little Richard: I ain't a homo no more!

Little Richard 2017Flamboyant musician Little Richard has decided to go back into the closet. The 84-year-old has been open about his sexuality before, calling himself "gay" and "omnisexual," but he is now calling such relationships "unnatural."

He made the revelation during an interview with Christian show 3ABN.

“Anybody come in show business, they’re going to say you’re gay," he said. "Are you straight? Are you a homosexual something? They’re going to say it. But God, Jesus, he made men, men, he made women, women, you know? And you’ve got to live the way God wants you to live.”

He added: “You know, all these things. So much unnatural affection. So much of people just doing everything and don’t think about God. Don’t want no parts of him."

Little Richard seems to have struggled with his sexuality. At times he disdained it; at times he celebrated it.

In the early 80s, he warned people to watch out for gay relatives. “If your brother’s a homosexual, you must protect your little boy from him. Homosexuals are sick. And lesbians are sick too. What real woman would want another woman to touch her? She’d feel like something was crawling on her.”

“I’ve been gay all my life and I know God is a God of love, not of hate," he later revealed in an interview with Penthouse in 1995.

“We are all both male and female," he told GQ in 2012. "Sex to me is like a smorgasbord. Whatever I feel like, I go for. What kind of sexual am I? I am omnisexual!”

Now, Little Richard is back to thinking gays need to be saved.

"The only holy, righteous person is Jesus and he wants us to be just like him because, in order to go to Heaven, we’ve got to look like him,” Richard said. “I don’t want to sing rock and roll no more. … I want to be holy like Jesus.”

Proof that wisdom does not always come with age.
