In its ten years online, Cruiser Boys has quietly established a solid reputation for showcasing good looking 18- to 26-year-old Southern California guys. You'll be treated to almost 500 well-shot episodes, of which about 20% are filmed in high definition, with high-quality downloads and streams. However the non-HD videos are all in clips which are downloaded in zip file, and the content display is decidedly old school.

The Cruiser Boys tour is very enticing. You can preview the entire model index, watch and download sample clips, and get a peek of the bonus content. There are large images to look at, and the videos in HD are a definite eye-catcher.

Unfortunately, once inside Cruiser Boys the sleek and elegant look of the tour is replaced by a bare bones design. To find a specific guy, you have to scroll through a list of months, where the names of the models are listed, but there are no thumbnail previews to identify them until you view each specific month. The chronological "Archive" serves as the episode index. Much improvement needed.

The Men and the Action

About three-quarters of the videos are solo scenes. These are guys you’d see on the beach and wish you could bring them back to your place to check out what they have hiding under their shorts. They tend to be slim and toned, some are tattooed and pierced, and many are collegiate looking. A few more masculine looking guys and some hairy chests can be found in the mix too. There are very few duds here, and overall there are plenty of real studs to make your visit worth it.

Video Details

There are a whopping 520 videos on Cruiser Boys -- but only the most recent 90 are offered in high definition.The vids average 15 minutes each and there's no DRM on them. There is one update per week.

The downloads can be irritating for a couple of reasons. One is that the HD video files have the same name, so if you want to download more than one you have to rename them. Another is that all the non-HD videos download as zip files which you then have to unzip to get several clips.

Obviously there's a world of difference in the technical quality of the HD videos and the older ones. The videography is very good throughout, but the HD vids leave the older ones in the dust. Seeing the older videos upgraded would be a huge improvement.

Image and Other Content

There are plenty of pictures of these Californian dudes: 520 photo sets at the time of this review with an averaging 80+ pictures per set. Image quality and size (900x600 pixels) are good with lots of nice cock shots and close-ups. The image sets corresponding to the HD videos are also available in a larger size (1160x775 pixels.) There is no option to save the whole set at once (this is where zip files come in handy).

There is lots of bonus content on Cruiser Boys, though you could miss it because the only link to it is on the entrance page to the site. Members get access to an archive of hundreds of full-length DVDs and over thirty content feeds. Another big extra is full access to Maximo Latino which houses hundreds of downloadable videos.

Summing Up

Cruiser Boys delivers four or five hot Californian boys every month and some bonus content to sweeten the deal. Some of these Southern California men are a real treat . It's nice to see the membership price has been lowered this year to $19.95. But the old school design, the way the content is presented, and the lower grade older content make our recommendation less than whole-hearted.
