The trouble with Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall is not having a good year, which is pretty sad considering it's only April.

First, his appearance on reality competition Celebrity Big Brother, in which players are secluded in a house for several weeks and voted out one by one, was an absolute mess. Although he came in second place, he managed to upset most of his fellow housemates.

Rival contestant Todd Bridges, of Diff'rent Strokes fame, explained: "[Hall] didn’t play a very good game. He played a very mean game, a mean-spirited game."

When the show ended, Hall refused to give any interviews with the media (even though it was part of his contract).

As his behaviour in the Big Brother house was being criticized on social media, a former colleague jumped in to get #todrickexposedparty trending on Twitter. Tommy McKissock, who was Hall's assistant, wanted everyone to know what working with the performer was really like. And it wasn't good.

McKissock alleged that Hall would cast "dancers based solely on their race” seeking “lighter people." Hall also banned McKissock from wearing hats as it made him look “too ethnic and ghetto.”

Others piled on, calling out Hall for not paying employees and mistreating staff.

And then this week, Hall was sued for $60K in unpaid rent for living in a home he recently claimed he owned. Landlord Avi Lavian accused the singer of being two months behind on the $30k per month rent.

Hall does have a tour starting this year and just released some new music, so it doesn't appear he's taking the time he probably needs to address certain character flaws. But with some money coming in, at least he'll be able to pay his rent. Right, Todrick?
