Former porn star wants to sell you something

Fredrik Eklund has been making a bit of a name for himself in the New York City real estate market. He has worked for the likes of John Legend, Jessica Alba, and Brooke Shields, and allegedly sold a $1.9 million TriBeCa apartment to actor Daniel Craig.

Of course, Eklund is no stranger to working on camera himself. He used to strut his stuff under the stage name Tag Eriksson, though the movies he made had a lot more flesh and a lot less acting.

As Eriksson, he appeared in six films, including “The Hole,” a parody of the popular horror film “The Ring.”

He later published an autobiographical novel about his adult film career called 'Bananflugornas Herre' or 'Lord of the Fruit Flies.'

"It started as a diary,” he said. “It was never about the movies themselves, it was about the journey a young Swedish man goes through.”

"The newspaper [in Sweden followed] his every move, so he’s very well known,” said his brother, Sigge. “The things I hear Swedes admire most about him are his optimism and self-confidence. He’s the anti-Bergman - Bergman was a very dark and angst-ridden man, whereas Fredrik is social and cheery - and that sells well in today’s Sweden.”

“Did I ever think it would affect my career negatively?” Eklund said. “No. Did I think that I might fall in love with somebody one day who might have a problem with it? Yes.”

Who knows, maybe his previous work on video has actually helped. He is now the managing director of Core Group Marketing, with a portfolio worth more than $58 million. And Bravo TV is apparently in talks with him to star in his own real estate reality show.

And you thought porn was a dead end job!
