Jim Parsons' big plans post-"Big Bang Theory"

Jim ParsonsJim Parsons may be ready to move on from his nerdy character Sheldon on the hit series Big Bang Theory, but he's already planning his return to TV.

The openly gay actor has starred in the CBS series for 11 seasons. Rumor has it that he's the person responsible for deciding that the 12th season will be the show's last.

He may be hoping to free up some time to explore other opportunities, but it seems he's already planning his next sitcom. Parsons is working with Young & Hungry creator David Holden to develop a comedy for NBC called The Inn Crowd.

The show is about a gay couple who divide a small town when they open a very successful inn. The two want to expand the business, but many in the county aren't on board.

The show is in pre-production, with no word about whether or not Parsons will actually star in it or simply help produce. No air date has been given, but we will keep you inn-formed.
