A lost interview has been discovered in which gay porn star Cal Culver claimed he had been sleeping with Superman actor Christopher Reeve. Culver made the claim before his death in 1987.
The details are being included in the new book 'Hollywood Babylon Strikes Again.' Culver said that he and the star had developed a relationship in the mid-1970s, after both men auditioned for the same Broadway role.
Culver didn't reveal his porn work right away, and kept his stage name - Casey Donovan - a secret. He said that he helped Reeves come to terms with his gay side. "Christopher was a great lover and I think I liberated him sexually,' Culver remembered. "I didn't think he was gay but he seemed willing to try anything once. He was curious."
When Culver's porn work was discovered, the relationship ended.
We're not sure if a story about an alleged relationship between the two men, now deceased and unable to verify or contradict the tale, will sell many books. Still, it is interesting thinking that the Man of Steel may have put his rod to good use.

Actor Mickey Rourke is planning a biopic of openly gay Welsh rugby star Gareth Thomas.
Thomas' spokesperson said: "Mickey Rourke is a big rugby fan and was flying to New York from London recently when he read an article about Gareth and thought he would be the perfect model for a film. Mickey contacted Gareth by a mutual friend in rugby league to express his interest and invited Gareth to watch the Jonathan Ross show and meet him for dinner afterwards.
"The fact that Mickey is so passionate about doing a picture has been really flattering and although we haven't come to an agreement yet we're really hoping it does happen."
Rourke, 57, made his acting comeback in 2008 when he starred in the Oscar nominated movie 'The Wrestler.' He also received flack from the gay community when he called a reporter a 'faggot,' and refused to apologize saying:"I don't really give a fuck. Life's too short."
Luckily Rourke probably won't be playing the younger - and slightly better looking - Thomas. We're hoping for plenty of nude scenes!

The reason Elton John performed for ultra-conservative Rush Limbaugh's wedding has finally been revealed. No, it wasn't for the $1 million. Elton did it for love.
David Furnish, Elton's partner, said the singer did it because, “Life is about building bridges, not walls.”
Furnish explained that the initial invite was a total surprise, but after much thinking Elton decided it would be a great opportunity to extend an 'olive branch' to Limbaugh, and found the newlywed couple “incredibly gracious and very welcoming and very sweet and very appreciative.”
There was even an invite for the gay men to join the Limbaughs for dinner sometime. Ahhhhhh.

Swedish soccer player and underwear model Freddie Ljungberg is repeatedly being asked about his sexuality.
He used to answer the question directly: "I am not gay. If I was I would just say I was and it wouldn’t bother me.” However, in a recent interview with the 'New York Times,' he seemed a little more coy on the subject.
"There’s been a gay rumor for a long time," he said. "I don’t mind at all. I am proud of that. I love fashion, and I think so many gay people have amazing style. So that is a compliment to me. I really don’t know why people are so interested. I just made a decision that I won’t talk about it."
With so many soccer players comfortable showing off in their underwear, maybe it's time to institute a tighty-whities only clause for all professional soccer matches.

Right-wing radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh doesn't like homosexuals. He doesn't think we should get married. He doesn't want us serving openly in the military. But we can perform at his fourth wedding!
Limbaugh hired Elton John to put on a little show for the low, low price of $1 million. And Elton accepted.
The media has already turned on Elton, asking why he would perform for someone who is openly hostile to homosexuals.
"Elton would be better respected if he didn't go out of his way to directly play a role in bettering the life of a man who's working vigorously to deny equality to queer Americans," said Queerty.
E!Online opined: "Sean Hannity we'd expect, but who would have imagined Elton John would be putting in an appearance at the wedding of Rush Limbaugh?"
And Ethan August at This Gay Life asked: "Did Sir Elton John just stick a knife in my back and twist it?"
In Elton's defense, pianos ain't cheap!

Ah, Jake Gyllenhaal. He's the 29-year-old actor famous for playing gay in that 'Brokeback Mountain' movie. The younger Jake (left) got his start as a teenager but broke into star status with movies like 'Donnie Darko' and 'The Good Girl.' Of course, gays really took notice when Jake bulked up and shaved his head for 'Jarhead,' playing a hunky soldier. And now he's once again trying to slip into our dreams, all shirtless and buff, as the lead in 'Prince of Persia' (right).

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is an Ultimate Fighting Champion appearing as B.A. Baracus - the role made famous by Mr T - in the 2010 remake of 80s TV classic 'The A-Team.' He may have talked himself out of any sequels.
Jackson, describing himself as the toughest man on the planet, is afraid acting will destroy his fighting career.
"Acting is kind of gay," Jackson said. "It makes you soft. You got all these people combing your hair and putting a coat over your shoulders when you're cold. I don't want a coat over my shoulders! I'm a tough-ass [individual]!"
Worse, he had to work in Vancouver, British Columbia! "Vancouver strikes me as a San Francisco-kind of place," he continued. "And I don't want [individuals] getting ideas about me."
Because it's better people think you're a no-brain, muscle-bound idiot. Obviously he's received one too many punches in the head!

The Bay Area Reporter has announced that the Backstreet Boys will be headlining on the main stage at San Francisco Pride on June 27.
Audrey Joseph, responsible for finding acts for the stage, confirmed the news on Tuesday. Though they are not the big name they once were, the fact that the boys are happy to put on a show for Pride is big news.
"We were so late in getting started, most of the big acts were already taken," said Joseph. And the event organizers don't have much money to pay talent becayse San Francisco's Pride celebration is totally free, with donations collected at the gate.
"People who perform on our Pride stage do it because they want to," and not for the money, she said.
Yeah, we'd still do any one of them ...
