The name "English Lads" may invoke visions of lanky, pale private school boys. But we've got news for you: English Lads is quite simply one of the biggest, hottest, and technically superb twink and collegiate sites online today.

We were stunned by the blazing speed at which the over 230 videos now play (no buffering at all). And every digital picture in the 450 photosets excels in clarity, composition and light. These amateur models are beautifully captured by professional photographer and webmaster Nick Baker. In addition to miles of foreskin and some massive wieners, you'll find lots of content for foot lovers, too.


The English Lads tour is very revealing, informing you there are over 100,000 photos, 6 new photo sets per month, and 6 new videos per month. Click on the "Shoot Search" button and you'll find a directory for the combined total of over several hundred video and photo shoots on the site. These are complete with thumbnails of hardcore pics, a description of the guy or guys, and details of the shoot. Alternatively, click on the "Preview" button on the front page to view a complete directory and a nine-image gallery for each of the more than 230 lads.


The Home page of the members area features a fresh-looking red, white, and blue design. You'll find large graphic boxes for the Most Recent shoots, the Search function, and the Top Lads as voted by members.

The models are organized alphabetically by first name and can be sorted by any number of parameters. Click on the model's thumbnail pic to open a page with a couple of larger pics of him, a list of his vital stats, a brief bio, and links to his photo galleries and videos. The site is very searchable: try the "stats" search where you can click on a body part of a generic model to find all the guys with the largest cocks, blue eyes, tatoos and other attributes.

At EL, a pattern we've often seen at other sites is reproduced: the earlier videos are solo jerk-off sessions, shot before pairings of the "shy" solo guys were possible. Video is offered in Quicktime (MPEG-4) and Windows Media formats. The Quicktime videos stream(pd) or download at 875 kbps, playing in a nicely sized 500x275 window. Windows Media files stream(pd) or download at a rapid 1600 kbps, playing in either a 750x425 or 640x480 window.

The videos are full-length, often running to 30 minutes. Rather than breaking these scenes into clips, English Lads now offers the longer, uncut version alongside an edited version of about half the running time. The Windows Media files use DRM and are licensed for use up to six months after the download.

Videos that were merely average quality two years ago have been re-mastered and look fantastic at 200% and full-screen. They display a highly professional quality of lighting, sound, and composition. The camera moves fluidly around the model's body and hones in on details and body parts -- just like any of us would if we had one of these guys in front us. The cumshots are almost always caught.

Our only reservation: at times the model interviews run a bit too long and videographer Nick tends to chat with the object or our affection throughout the video. We'd also like to see Nick's own fingers and mouth in fewer of the video segments.

There are more than 100,000 images on English Lads. Every body part is lovingly photographed. You have the option of two photos sizes: large or very large; the slide-show option should not be skipped.

There are a few additional bells and whistles on English Lads, including a newsletter and a voting system for rating your favorite lad.


English Lads' combination of handsome, uncut twink and collegiate guys and surfer-friendly design makes it a total pleasure to use. Best of all, the site has made a huge investment in re-mastering the earlier content and now has videos that look absolutely gorgeous from beginning to end!
