The bait version of gay-for-pay is always a winner, and Bait Buddies works the angle well. Unfortunately there are popups in the members' area and you can't tell always tell when a video is going to have a blowjob or more or will just be two guys jacking off (which can be nice, too).


The Bait Buddies tour is laid out in the same way as the members' area, displaying several thumbnail pics and text descriptions for every video; this mirror tour makes it quite obvious what you are going to get inside.


Navigation of Bait Buddies is extremely straightforward since there is only one type of content on offer. The members' home page is also the video index; videos are listed 2 episodes per page with 5 large thumbnail photos, a text description and links to the video.


There is a wide variety of types in Bait Buddies , from latin twinks to very hunky bodybuilders. These are more "average attractive" guys rather than "model gorgeous."

The "reality" premise is that the guy has answered an ad to be in a straight porn movie. He auditions, often with another guy (the gay boy pretending to be straight), for a studio assistant. Sometimes the assistant is female, so if the presence of a girl in the room (she talks through a good part of the videos and sometimes shows her titties) is a turn-off, this won't be the site for you. The videos are set in a studio with a livingroom-like set and the action eventually evolves into solo and dual jackoffs, blow jobs and the occassional hard fuck.

Because there are only a handful of preview thumbnail photos you can't always tell whether a video with 2 guys is hardcore action or a no-touch dual jerk-off session. Expect more jackoff vids than hardcore and you won't be disappointed.

There are currently 85 videos in Bait Buddies. It appears to be updated about less than once a week, but new content is not labelled with a date.

Bait Buddies videos can be streamed(pd) only (not downloaded) in Windows Media format at 3 speeds, the highest being 1120k, playing in a sizable 640x480 window. The oldest half of the videos play at a max of 475k and, although the window is technically 640x480, the video is letterboxed to 475 X 300 pixels. (The labelled video speeds on the site - 56k, 256k and 512k - should be taken as guidelines only as the oldest ones are slightly slower and the newer ones are much higher.)

Although you might notice a little shake in the video every so often, for the most part it is clear and well lit. You'll find a very nice mix of medium, full body and closeup shots and a good selection of poses considering the theme. The cumshots are usually caught in a closeup, though not in every instance.

Bait Buddies offers no photos at all; videos is what you get. There are no additional plug-ins, either.
