"Modern Family" actor confirms he's gay

Reid Ewing is gay.

The 27-year-old actor, best known for playing Sarah Hyland’s boyfriend Dylan on Modern Family, revealed the news over the weekend.

On Thursday, The Huffington Post published an article by Ewing where he opened up about his struggle with body dysmorphia and addiction to plastic surgery. He started getting work done when he was only 19 years old.

“I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt," he wrote

While talking about his article on Twitter, he revealed that he was gay.

He tweeted: "Saw Eugene Bata on @GMA in the Body Dysmorphia segment connected to my article and I just want to say he is hot [as fuck]."

When asked if he had just outed himself, Ewing said, "I was never in."

Hopefully he's over his plastic surgery obsession and able to recognize what a hottie he is.
