'Golden Girls' feted by gays and pornographers

The first Golden Girls episode aired in September, 1985; the series lasted seven seasons and has never gone out of syndication. For some reason or other (the bitchy humor, perhaps) gays loved the show. And gay and straight fans alike are marking the 30th anniversay, each in their own way.

Four former contestants  from Ru Paul's Drag Race will host a two day marathon of favorite episodes on Logo TV on Sept. 12 and 13.  During the "30 Isn't A Drag" weekend, Shangela plays the fiery Sophia, Delta Work is sarcastic Dorothy, Pandora Boxx is dumb Rose and Willam is slutty Blanche.

On the straight side, Hustler Video declared it's time for the MILFs to make way for the GILFs, with the release of a porn parody, This Ain't the Golden Girls. The trailer has no nudity, thank God.
