Hot House bought out by AEBN

AEBN, which owns Falcon, Raging Stallion and Naked Sword, announced this week that it will acquire the assets of Hot House Entertainment.

Hot House president Steven Scarbourgh will retire from the industry after a 27-year career that began at Falcon in 1987 where he was the legendary studio’s head director and founder Chuck Holmes’ right-hand man. In 1993 he left Falcon to found Hot House, which quickly became an industry leader.

Falcon / Raging Stallion President Chris Ward will be in charge of the combined operations. Ward's own career goes back to Hot House, where he directed the Club Inferno line before co-founding Raging Stallion Studios in 1999.

So Falcon begat Hot House, which begat Raging Stallion. Then AEBN bought them all.

It is extremely difficult for a single porn brand to thrive in an environment when so many consumers choose not to pay for content. The choices facing many gay producers todays are to sell or to go under. By merging, the Hot House name will live on with Christian Owen, current film director at Hot House, continuing with the new venture and Director of Operations Rob LeVan remaining in place as Director of Operations for the studio group.
