Three more Hollywood types accused of raping man as teen

Last week, Michael Egan (pictured) filed a lawsuit claiming that director Bryan Singer sexually assaulted him when Egan was 15. He said the assaults took place during private parties in LA and Hawaii, where several powerful industry types would allegedly ply underage males with drugs and alcohol, and then force them to have sex.

Singer has denied the claims. He said he has proof that he was out of the country shooting his first major film during some of the supposed incidents.

"This was Bryan's first studio film," his lawyer, Marty Singer, said. "Clearly, he's not going to take a break in the middle of this movie while you're shooting and prepping it to go to Hawaii."

He added: "It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan's new movie is about to open in a few weeks."

Egan, now 31, filed a similar lawsuit in 2000, but did not mention Singer at the time.

Yesterday, Egan named three more men in his lawsuit. He claimed that Garth Ancier (producer of 21 Jump Street, In Living Color and the Ricki Lake Show), David Neuman (former president at Disney TV) and Gary Goddard (producer of off-Broadway shows) were involved in these sex parties.

"Somebody has to stand up to these people," said Egan at the press conference. "You can't change the stigma that exists in this world against childhood sexual abuse unless someone talks about it."
