Haters just keep getting meaner

Bigots Rev. Sean Harris and Rev. Charles L WorleyThe zealots of the religious right seem to be coming out in droves, scared that homosexuals are not facing near enough hatred these days.

At the end of April, Rev. Sean Harris [pictured, top right] of Berean Baptist Church of Fayetteville, North Carolina, demanded that parent's start enforcing, through physical punishment, strict gender-role behaviors.

"Dads," he preached, "the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and you crack that wrist. Man up! Give him a good punch. You're not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male, and you are going to be a male."

When confronted, Harris claimed he was just got caught up in the moment when he said those things.

Then came Rev. Charles L. Worley of the Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, North Carolina. He's the preacher who called for a fenced in pen in which lesbians and gay men could be held. "And have that fence electrified till they can't get out," he added. "Feed 'em. And you know what? In a few years they'll die out. Do you know why? They can't reproduce."

People took the man to task, but not his loyal congregation. The following week, it gave him a standing ovation.

In the same town in Indiana where Billy Lucas was bullied to death because classmates thought he might be gay, a four-year-old child at a local church received his own standing ovation for singing "Ain't no homos gonna make it to heaven."

And then Pastor Curtis Knapp called on the government to kill (yes KILL) gays ...

Pastor Curtis Knapp, wants gays deadIn a recording that he, himself, posted from a sermon he gave last week, he said: “'If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.'  They should be put to death ‘Oh, so you’re saying we should go out and start killing them, no?'  I’m saying the government should. They won’t, but they should.

“'You say, Oh, I can’t believe you, you’re horrible.  You’re a backwards neanderthal of a person.  Is that what you’re calling scripture?  Is God a neanderthal, backwards in his morality?  Is it His word or not?  If it’s His word, he commanded it.  It’s His idea, not mine. And I’m not ashamed of it.'”

When interviewed by CNN, he stuck by his words. But, he said, gays have nothing to fear from him; he had no intention of doing any killing himself. What a star!

All these men need now are matching white robes and hoods.
