Now entering its third year of presenting muscular masked men with big juicy cocks, Maskurbate still looks fantastic. In addition to almost 110 professional videos, the site features nearly 90 of its own members in sexy "home videos". Unfortunately there have been only 18 updates since our last review a year ago, instead of the weekly updates we expected.

Tour

The site's tour consists of 14 preview videos, all listed on the first page. Each one-minute preview clip opens in a large screen Windows Media Player, so you'll quickly get a really good taste of the full length videos available inside. At the bottom of the page there's a "more movies" link which allows you to browse through the rest of the videos, but you only get 3 small pics from each, no video.

Navigation

Maskurbate's home page prominently lists the most recent updates to the site and leads you to the main sections. You can also search by model name, scene title and genre. Overall the site is good looking, though the navigation has a couple quirks, for example to get back to the home page, you need to find the tiny text link located at the bottom of each page.

The way the video and vidcaps are presented depends on when they were added. For the more recent episodes there are buttons to play or download the video and another labelled "Pictures" for the vidcap galleries. Older episodes are presented a little differently and label the vidcaps "Stills".

The Men and the Action

For each guy, we're told his height, weight and cock size -- the really important stuff! These men are mostly in their early twenties to mid-thirties, muscular and very well defined. Many of the juicy cocks on Maskurbate are uncut and, as for the masks, they just end up being damn sexy!

There used to be one full video and image gallery update weekly, but in the last year there has only been one update every three weeks. There is no DRM on the videos so you can keep them as long as you like.

The site's avid followers also get their dicks out for you: there are almost 90 home-made videos submitted by Maskurbate regulars, and some of these vids are super-hot! Thank goodness that webcams have improved so much in the last couple of years.

The videos can now be instantly streamed in an embedded Flash player, and you can stream or download in Windows Media format. The recent downloads play in a large 640x480 window at up to 2000 kbps (bitrates vary for previous videos, with most around 1000 kbps). We found download times to be lightening fast, however the window size on the Flash player will not size up. Mac note: Flip4Mac required to view Windows Media vids. Mobile note: 25% of vids are available in MP4 format with a default size of 320x240 pixels.

The videos look great, with close attention paid to clarity, light and sound. The camera catches the guys in many poses and moves around them to catch a variety of medium and close-up shots. The cumshots are always caught.

Image and Other Content

Some of the photo galleries add a fun twist as they're in the form of a graphic novel or comic strip. The model has little thought balloons above him with captions like: "C'mon, lick those balls, I know you want to." It's a creative and fun bonus to the site, as are the user polls and the "Behind the Mask" blog.

Additional bonus content consists of a series of short video clips called SWATtv and powered by the Video On Demand giant AEBN. These short video samples allow you to enjoy 4-5 minutes of a video that's available on VOD. They play for you in an embedded Flash player.

Summing Up

Maskurbate has taken a unique idea -- men in masks -- and done well with it. There are now more than 100 sessions and, as for the masks, there's a good chance you won't find them distracting at all. This site has real personality and a growing community of fans, who also get off on showing off in a generous roster of home videos.
