Two sad reality shows about vain gay men

The Abbey

Two new reality shows based on the love lives of super-hot gay men are coming to our TV sets. Hooray?

The first show will take us behind the scenes at the Abbey, a famous gay bar in Los Angeles. What Happens At The Abbey is a fly-on-the-wall look at the guys who work behind the bar every night. Expect lots of flesh, fights and fucking!

“Every night at The Abbey is a different adventure," club owner Dave Cooley explained. "There are people visiting a gay bar for the first time, celebrities cutting loose, the staff hustling to fulfill their Hollywood dream, and all kinds of people looking for love, whether, gay, straight, lesbian or still figuring it out."

Christina Aguilera, Kim Kardashian and Elton John have been known to visit the bar, though who we expect more z-list celebrities to appear in the series.

The show premiers on May 14.

But wait! There's another gay-centric reality show that explores the life of queerdom's most vapid men. It's called Fire Island. (Guess where it takes place.)

The show was commissioned by LogoTV and focused on six young gay professionals at a beachfront summer house on the New York coastal island, long known as a haven for LGBT vacationers.

The show is being executive produced by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Milojo Productions and starts airing on April 27.
